Anne Ingeborg Myhr er leder for avdelingen bioteknologi og sirkulærøkonomi. Avdelingen består av tre forskningsgrupper: industriell bioteknologi, marinbioteknologi, og genteknologi, miljø og samfunn. Myhr er Dr.scient innen medisinsk biologi, og har en siv.ing grad i bioteknologi. Myhr har lang erfaring fra tverrvitenskapelige prosjekt, og spesielt prosjekt som omhandler ansvarlig og bærekraftig bruk av nye teknologier inkludert genredigering. Fokuset for arbeidet er på fremtidens matsystemer, bærekraftig akvakultur, bevaring av miljø og biodiversitet, og sirkulær økonomi. Dette inkluderer studier på ELSA og RRI ved bruk av ny teknologi.
