Forsker på marin bioteknologi, bioprospektering, enzymidentifisering, enzymoptimalisering, proteinproduksjon og molekylærbiologi. Vi ønsker å tilby bioteknologiske løsninger for den bio-baserte marine industrien. Vårt hovedfokus er på å utvikle enzymer etter industriens behov. Vi jobber derfor med å lete etter nye enzymer, men også å optimalisere eksisterende enzymer. Jobber med metoder som bioprospektering; funksjonell screening av enzymaktivitet; state-of-the-art rekombinant kloning; heterolog uttrykking av proteiner i prokaryote og eukaryote systemer; enzymproduksjon; aktivitetstesting av enzymer; utvikling av enzymassay; proteinrensing; immunoblotting; og lab- og prosjektadministrasjon.
