Research on industry and innovation for a more sustainable society
We research how changes in political-economic framework conditions, sustainability issues, and the global risk landscape impact development and profitability in existing and new industries. We also investigate how economic policy instruments and regional innovation systems can promote development and restructuring.
The research group has national expertise in industries such as petroleum, seafood, and offshore wind.
We have developed separate populations for oil and gas, seafood, renewable, and bio-industries, as well as customized data models for analyzing value creation and employment, which are in demand for regional and national projects.
Researchers are based in Stavanger, Haugesund, and Kristiansand. In collaboration with businesses, industry associations, cluster organizations, municipalities, county councils, and research partners, we identify challenges and solutions.
