I hold a Master of Science in Engineering degree (sivilingeniør) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology NTH (NTNU), and I have been working as a senior researcher at Norce since 2017.

I have participated in a range of industry-oriented research projects, including work related to the health, seafood and other bio-based industries, as well as the petroleum and renewable energy sectors. I have further developed and maintain national enterprise population databases for selected industries, which form the basis for value creation and employment calculations at the municipal and regional levels. In addition, I have contributed to projects analysing the business attractiveness of municipalities and the private sector’s expectations for future economic development.

As part of Norges Bank’s Regional Network, I regularly conduct interviews with business leaders in Western Norway. This work provides empirical input to the Bank’s monetary policy assessments and contributes to the national reports produced four times per year.

In the field of energy research, I have worked on analyses of electricity consumption across sectors and user groups to identify patterns, trends, and the potential for increased flexibility in energy use. I have also conducted qualitative interviews with businesses to examine their experiences, motivations, and barriers related to adapting or shifting electricity consumption, with particular emphasis on how technological, organisational, and regulatory factors influence flexibility potential.

Furthermore, I have developed a data model that municipalities can use to simulate future needs within health, care, and housing services. The model estimates, among other things, the demand for assistance, various types of municipal housing, and the expected prevalence of age-related conditions. It can also be combined with population projections and housing preferences for different age groups to estimate future housing needs.

I have extensive experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, acquired through my work at NORCE and in previous positions. Before joining NORCE, I worked as Head of Analysis at Helse Stavanger and previously as Manager Supply Chain and Manufacturing Analysis at Laerdal Medical.
