Jan Ole Rypestøl is a Research Professor at NORCE and a Full Professor at the University of Agder. He holds a PhD in International Management and an MS in Innovation and Knowledge Development from the University of Agder, as well as a Cand. Mag. in Social Studies. Rypestøl is an experienced researcher and project leader, publishing in highly ranked academic journals in the fields of regional industrial restructuring, entrepreneurship, innovation studies, and economic geography.
As former serial entrepreneur, Rypestøl has extensive experience in venture creation, innovation, international management and project development. He is also an award-winning lecturer with a decade of experience in entrepreneurship education. At NORCE, Rypestøl leads the National Bank’s Regional Network in the southern region and manages several research projects focused on regional development.
