Uncertainty analysis - climate gas emission
NORCE provides 3rd party uncertainty evaluation and recommendations for cost effective metering systems of climate gas emissions and other emissions to air.
The analyses are based on theoretical as well as practical in-depth instrument technology knowledge and expertise within instrument uncertainty analysis.
Climate gas metering system surveys involving:
- Flare gas
- Fuel gas
- Flue gas
- Diesel
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC) for example from tanker loading
- Other emissions to air (NOx, SO2, etc.)
- Emissions to water
The uncertainty evaluation of the metering systems also involves guidance and recommendations on how to meet the requirements for the different metering systems. In collaboration with both industry and authorities, NORCE is evaluating metering concepts and advising on cost effective metering solutions for climate gas emissions. NORCE has also contributed to handbooks and online uncertainty calculation tools available on the Norwegian Society for Oil and Gas Measurement websites.
NORCE can also provide services related to the monitoring, reporting and verification of climate gas emissions from maritime transport.
