Håvard has a PhD in ocean technology from the University of Bergen, where he worked with simulations of optical instruments and corrections of measurement errors by means of machine learning. He also has a bachelor's degree in physics and master's degree in energy technology from the University of Bergen.
Håvard started working at Norce in 2023, and works in the research group for measurement technology. One of the main task is to evaluate measurement uncertainty in oil and gas measurements. He is also involved in other projects, such as the HyMe project, which aims to address measurements of hydrogen gas and the associated uncertainty.
