Jeg fullførte min doktorgrad (Dr. Scient.) i generell mikrobiologi ved Universitetet i Bergen i 2001. Fra 2001 – 2011 jobbet jeg på flere NRF prosjekt tilknyttet grupper ved Universitetet i Bergen. Blant annet var jeg involvert i det første prosjektet på genomsekvenseringen i Norge. I 2012 ble jeg med i gruppen som er nå Marin Bioteknologi i NORCE.

Mine forskningsinteresser dreier seg rundt bruk av bakterier til å produsere enzymer som er av interesser for industrien.
