Eg er forskar med kjemisk oseanografi som spesialfelt. Eg arbeider med den uorganiske karbonsyklusen og studerer korleis denne varierer naturleg og som eit resultat av menneskeleg påverknad. Hovudverktøyet eg brukar er målingar, helst lange måleseriar som gjer oss i stand til å skille mellom naturlege endringar og endringar som skjer på grunn av menneskeleg aktivitet, til dømes havforsuring.
