Tomorrow's Services is an internal strategic initiative at NORCE aimed at enhancing the ability to develop competitive research and innovation targeted at municipal health and care services, as well as preventative arenas. Challenges The initiative is based on the current challenges: increasing resource scarcity, demographic changes, increased pressure on service quality, and the need for more prevention and health promotion. Tomorrow's Services positions NORCE to address these issues through systematic and coordinated research development. Mapping and Mobilisation A foundation for research and development has been established through: • Mapping the challenges, relevant data sources, and relevant expertise within NORCE to respond to these challenges. • Developing a resource bank with models for project development, co-creation, and implementation. • An overview of co-creation arenas where NORCE meets with relevant partners to collaborate on solving the mentioned challenges. • Cross-disciplinary mobilisation across research groups with expertise on relevant topics. The Way Forward The initiative will initially run during the period 2025-2026 and is a structured approach to systematise NORCE's expertise and strengthen collaboration, both internally and externally. An important goal is to increase external funding for research into sustainable and innovative services – within health and care services, as well as preventative and health-promoting work. Efforts are made to utilise resources and expertise in application and project development together with external partners to enhance quality and support good initiatives. Tomorrow's Services is a dynamic initiative where: • New initiatives and ideas are welcome. • New co-creation arenas and partnerships can be developed. The project page will be updated with information about approved projects.
