ESA CCI Permafrost Option 7: IceInSAR Inferred Active Layer Water/Ice Content and Freeze-Thaw progression from assimilating InSAR in Permafrost Model

ESA CCI Permafrost Option 7: IceInSAR Inferred Active Layer Water/Ice Content and Freeze-Thaw progression from assimilating InSAR in Permafrost Model

Part of the Permafrost Climate Change Initative (CCI) funded by the European Space Agency (ESA), the IceInSAR project aims to exploit the capability of Synthetic Aperature Radar Interferometry (InSAR) to indirectly document subsurface properties and constrain the CryoGrid ground thermal model in permafrost regions. The IceInSAR project will develop a prototype for permafrost model adjustment, taking advantage of InSAR products. The study areas are located in Central and Western Spitsbergen, Svalbard.
