Forsker på strukturgeologi, fornybar energi og miljøstudier. Hvordan kan man på best mulig måte karakterisere berggrunnen for å finne gode løsninger for utnyttelse av energi under overflaten. Min forskning har nylig fokusert på å utvikle nye metoder for å måle permeabilitet i sprekker og karakterisere den strukturelle permeabiliteten i forkastninger.

Denne forskningen kan ha stor betydning for produksjon i geotermale-, hydrokarbon- og CO2-reservoar. Plastforurensning har blitt et nasjonalt og globalt problem med alvorlige konsekvenser for vann- og kystøkosystemene. Fokusområder i forskningen er den langsiktige forurensingen som fører til endring av kystlandskap og generering av mikroplast. I tillegg utvikler vi også kartløsninger og overvåkningsverktøy for strandryddingen.
