InSAR Svalbard: Development of an InSAR Ground Motion Service in Svalbard

The InSAR Svalbard development project (2023–2025) aims to start the development of an InSAR mapping service (Ground Motion Service GMS) based on spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) to generate ground deformation maps and time series in Svalbard.

The project is a collaboration between the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) and NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS, with a financial support from the Norwegian Space Agency (Post 74, contract 74CO2301).
