CVidere: Sammen for sysselsetting

The project builds on CVidere, developed by Blå Kors Kristiansand, where youths at risk participate in paid working activities of different kinds (supported by LIM-funding from Agder County and own funding from Blå Kors). The main idea in CVidere: Preparing for the future, is to improve this and document effects through a research-based approach. Blå Kors Kristiansand aims to increase employment for young people at risk by giving motivation, social networks and meeting places through working activities and group gatherings, to support them to get establised in life and succeed with getting a job or education.

Main objective:

More young people in Agder at risk will succeed in getting parttime or fulltime jobs, or apply for further education.

Intermediate objectives:

1. The participants experience mastery in life and competence and skills to present their CV when meeting with existing and future networks (CVidere module 1: I and my history)
2. The participants will experience belonging and inclusion in a community and see the value of contributing in meetings with others to build their own network and social skills (CVidere module 2: I and the others)
3. The participants will identify their own success factors and opportunities in society, and believe that they can master school or jobs, and imagine a possible future where they achieve what is important for them (CVidere module 3: I and society)

In the project, the research-based approach Systematic work with mastery, participation and motivation (SAMM) is applied as part of CVidere to give the participants an increased feeling of motivation and mastery, which again may contribute to break the inheritance of challenges through being successful getting a job. Youths' participation is central in the project, and through workshops with youths, the SAMM-method is adjusted and adapted to CVidere, and evaluation forms and measuring instruments to measure effects of these type of efforts are developed. This is innovative work, using these type of research-based approaches in voluntary work. The project builds on results from the National Public Health Programme in Agder, and there is close collaboration with NORCE in development and implementation.
