Nadja Sophia B. Kühn is a political scientist with a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration (2020) from the University of Agder. She has previously worked as an advisor in regional government administration and as a senior lecturer at the University of Agder. She has several years of experience in research and analysis of the public sector, primarily in the development, implementation, and practice of public policy.
Kühn's core competencies are related to governance processes and public administration, with a particular focus on decision-making behavior and coordination between levels of governance. She has conducted research on national, European, and international administration. A main interest is the administrative relationships between national and European/international actors, and the implications these have for national governance processes. This was also the topic of her doctoral dissertation. Kühn has recently led a project on the welfare administration's handling of EEA regulations.
Additionally, Kühn has experience with projects related to the expansion of renewable energy. She recently led a project that examined public decision-makers' attitudes toward the development of wind power. Kühn has also contributed as a researcher on various projects related to the mental health of children and adolescents.
Kühn employs both quantitative and qualitative methods and has particular experience in designing and conducting extensive surveys. In addition, she has substantial experience with qualitative in-depth interviews, literature, and document studies. She has experience with various types of projects, including research projects, innovation projects, and commissioned projects. Kühn's scientific work has been published in reputable national and international journals such as Norsk Statsvitenskapelig Tidsskrift, Journal of European Public Policy (JEPP), and Public Administration Review (PAR).
