Jukka Teräs holds a position of Research Professor at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre in Tromsø. He has Doctor of Technology from the University of Oulu Industrial Engineering and Management, and an MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics. He is specialised in regional development, innovation, smart specialisation, green transition, and sustainability with focus on Nordic and Arctic regions.
His current assignments at NORCE include projects on waste management, sustainability, and green transition in the Arctic regions, as well as projects on mobilization of clusters and SMEs in North Norway to increased participation in EU and international projects. Jukka Teräs has published in respected peer-reviewed scientific journals and scientific books by reputable publishers.
