I have a background in European Studies (B.A., University of Bergen 2016) and Comparative Politics (M.A., University of Bergen 2018). My PhD dissertation focused on the administrative perspective on the ongoing municipal and regional reforms, and how different arguments and other factors influenced regional actors’ attitudes toward territorial reforms and new task distributions across levels of government.
My research primarily focuses on politics, public administration, and civil society at the local and regional levels. Projects and research activities include local political attitudes and preferences, how municipalities and voluntary organisations work to include children and young people in leisure activities, evaluations of schemes such as equipment centres and the leisure card pilot, among others. I am also involved in projects on green and digital transitions in the business sector and the effects these have on an inclusive labor market, protest strategies related to climate policy and how they affect trust in democratic institutions, immigrant parents’ involvement in organisational life, and how collaboration between voluntary initiatives and the public sector can ensure the inclusion of children and young people, among other topics. Methodologically, I have broad experience with both quantitative and qualitative analysis. This includes the development and implementation of surveys, conducting and analysing interviews, as well as document studies.
