I am a postdoctoral researcher at NORCE Climate and affiliated to the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research.

As an ecosystem ecologist, my main research interests are focused around terrestrial bio-geochemistry. In particular, I am interested in the effects of environmental change on carbon dynamics, soil-plant-atmosphere interactions, plant functional traits in relation to ecosystem functioning and up-scaling of observations to a larger scale.

I am currently involved in the EMERALD project that has the aim to improve the representation of high latitude ecosystems and their climate interactions in The Norwegian Earth System Model (NorESM) by integrating empirical data and knowledge in model development. For this project I am doing field observations of carbon dynamics at a permafrost thaw gradient in Finnmark, Norway
