I am chief scientist at NORCE (formerly at IRIS), in the Energy Modeling and Automation group, where I work since 2006.
I have been working with various aspects of drilling modeling, monitoring and automation. I am currently studying drilling interoperability, automated operational planning and autonomous operations, mainly via the DigiWells SFI and the D-WIS initiative.
Over the years I have been involved in the design, development and testing of several systems now commercialized by Sekal: DrillTronics, DrillScene. My latest contribution there was the development of Sekal's ROP optimization functionality.
My scientific interests are (not limited to) numerical modeling, automation techniques, real-time data assimilation, semantic modeling, dynamic planning.
Decades ago, I completed a PhD in computer science at the University of Caen, in France.
