Making the Green Wave Blue

Sammen med Universitetet i Bergen, arrangerer NORCE et halvdagsseminar i Brussel.

Under eventet skal det lanseres et felles posisjonsnotat: Making the Green Wave Blue: Costal and Arctic ocean research & innovation for a sustainable future.

Her skal vi presentere våre hovedbudskaper om havrelatert forskning for den neste strategiske planen til Horisont Europa.

For å kunne møte det grønne skiftet kreves det svært store investeringer i forskning og innovasjon (F&I), spesielt "blå" F&I. EUs overordnede mål om klimanøytralitet innen 2050 kommer ikke til å nås uten mer forskning på kysten og Arktis.

På seminaret vil vi diskutere den innsatsen som trengs innenfor F&I på sambruk av havet, store spørsmål som "utnyttelse versus bevaring" og hvordan et isfritt Arktis kan se ut. Programmet er fylt med engasjerende paneldiskusjoner med eksperter fra ulike felt som skal belyse kompleksiteten i havforskningen, men også den store innvirkningen den har på alle samfunnsområder.
