Geothermal energy

Geothermal energy

We develop geothermal solutions nationally and internationally

Geothermal energy is a local and environmentally friendly energy source that can be used for heating, cooling, energy storage, or power generation. Geothermal energy and storage can relieve electrical and thermal networks, while also reducing both electrical and thermal energy consumption as well as peak loads.

NORCE is active both nationally and internationally in the development of geothermal solutions. We combine 50 years of experience from offshore petroleum activities with advanced expertise in energy efficiency and low-emission societies.

In Norway, NORCE contributes to the development and demonstration of efficient geothermal systems, often as integrated energy solutions where the bedrock or groundwater is used as a heat source and energy storage.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss geothermal solutions.
