Development of fiscal meters

Fiscal metering is a measurement related to buying and selling within oil and gas, and for calculation of taxes. Fiscal metering includes sales measurements, allocation measurements, emission measurements of flare-, fuel and flue gas, and other emission measurements.

NORCE has a long history of developing fiscal meters, and evaluations and surveys of fiscal metering stations. We have worked closely with the University of Bergen for over 40 years, developing ultrasound fiscal flow meters for oil and gas.

We also do uncertainty modelling for fiscal measurement systems for industrial customers. NORCE has internationally recognised expertise within ultrasound flow meters and can offer services required by industry in this field.
