LOOP Wind - Location Optimization for Offshore Platforms

In the LOOP Wind project, we create software which seeks to optimize the location and the layout of offshore wind farms, in order to maximize production and reduce costs.

The main inputs will include meteorological and oceanographic data and data related to spatial constraints (military areas, tourist areas, fishing areas, maritime traffic lanes, etc.).

It will be scalable, and it will use the cloud to be profitable and accessible from everywhere at any time.

NORCE is in particular responsible for constructing the optimization algorithm.
