Impact of CO2 impurities and additives in CCS

Impact of CO2 impurities and additives in CCS

Large uncertainties in existing model predictions for CO2-rich mixtures are a showstopper for design and operation of CCS processes in a cost-effective and safe manner. In ImpreCCS, high quality experimental data for viscosity, density, and thermal conductivity will be generated at conditions relevant for CCS, and the predictive models for viscosity and thermal conductivity will be improved. These models will be used to investigate the impact of impurities and additives in reservoirs and in other CCS processes.
