This is a collaborative project where Kristiansand Library is the project owner and has established a "popup cultural centre with a library" in the Rona district, called Demo Rona. In the long term, the intention is to establish a permanent cultural centre in the same area that will serve as a local meeting place for citizen dialogue and participation.
The main goal of the collaborative project is to develop expertise on how the library can help strengthen relationships within the local community and voluntary sector. This is to be achieved through four sub-goals:
- Strengthen the library and local community by developing a Free space,
- Enhance the library and local community's experience by expanding Perspectives,
- Strengthen the library and local community as an arena for Creativity,
- Develop a co-creation model to strengthen the sense of Community.
NORCE contributes as a partner through the organisation of workshops and evaluations.
