Jobbsjansen is a grant scheme funded by IMDi aimed at increasing employment among stay-at-home immigrant women who are far from the labour market and need qualifications to achive employment or education. Participants' qualifications will be strengthened through individually tailored programmes, so that they can eventually achieve permanent attachment to the workforce and become economically self-sufficient. The project will develop a model with a guide on how NAV/refugee services and voluntary immigrant organisations can collaborate regarding recruitment for Jobbsjansen.

The research questions being examined are:

  1. What are the success factors in the cooperation between NAV and voluntary immigrant organisations in the recruitment of immigrant women to Jobbsjansen, and what might hinder recruitment?
  2. What motivated the participants to join Jobbsjansen, and in what way are they being strengthened through the initiative?

The project is owned by Arendal NAV, and NORCE contributes with research and development.
