I am a clinical psychologist, and have a specialist degree from the Norwegian Psychological Association. At RKBU Vest (Regional Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health and Child Welfare) I work as a researcher, but my main position until June 2023 is a post doc researcher at the Health Ministry of Western Norway. In this post doc project, I investigate substance-related problems among adolescents and young adults. I have a PhD from a work on substance use and mental health problems in adolescents.

My research approach is quantitative analyses of epidemiological studies, such as the Barn i Bergen / ung@hordaland-study, SHoT, and Ungdata. I also work with the dissemination of research results, and am involved in a learning network about prevention of substance-related problems in secondary schools and secondary schools in Western Norway.

I have previous experience as a municipal psychologist, educational-psychological adviser, and leader of an educational-psychological service. I have have some experience from work as a private clinical psychologist.
