I work as a Senior Research Scientist at NORCE Energy and Technology, in the Digital Systems group. Before this, I worked at Christian Michelsen Research from 2001.
My education includes a Master’s degree in Industrial Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bergen.
My work includes software development, data processing, data analysis, visualization, and decision support systems. The application areas are diverse and include processing and interpretation of marine acoustics, coordination of rescue operations, and e-learning. The programming languages and tools I use include Java, Gradle, Kotlin, Python, Angular, TypeScript, Docker, and others.
Many of my projects are related to the development of interpretation systems for marine acoustics. In collaboration with the Institute of Marine Research, we have developed the analysis tool LSSS (Large Scale Survey System). LSSS is open source and is used by several marine research institutes around the world. We also use LSSS in other projects, such as SFI CRIMAC.
