I am a Senior Researcher at NORCE, working at the intersection of geological modelling, subsurface characterization, and applied digital methods. My research focuses on carbonate systems, karst and paleokarst reservoirs, and how complex geological architectures can be represented and constrained in 3D geological and reservoir models.

A core part of my work involves concept-driven and forward modelling approaches, where modern analogues, cave systems, and process understanding are used to reconstruct subsurface geometries, collapse structures, and infill architectures. I have extensive experience with reservoir modelling, seismic interpretation, and the integration of multi-scale geological data.

In recent years, my work has increasingly expanded into digital geoscience, including forward modelling of synthetic well logs, machine-learning-supported geological interpretation, and the coupling of geomodels with real-time drilling and geosteering workflows. I am currently involved in several applied research and consultancy projects spanning hydrocarbons, geothermal energy, CO₂ storage, and subsurface energy systems.

I hold a PhD in geology from the University of Bergen and have a background in both academic research and industry-oriented projects. Alongside my research role, I actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration between research institutions, industry, and the energy sector, with a strong interest in transferable subsurface knowledge across traditional and emerging energy domains.
