Eg er utdanna psykolog ved Universitetet i Bergen, og har spesialistgrad i klinisk samfunnspsykologi. Hos RKBU Vest (Regionalt kunnskapssenter for barn og unges pyskiske helse og barnevern) jobbar eg som forskar, men min hovedstilling fram til juni 2023 er ein post doc-stilling hos Helse Vest. I dette post doc-prosjektet undersøker eg rusproblemer hos unge. Min doktorgrad tok eg også innanfor temaet "Ungdom, rus og psykisk helse".

Mi forskningstilnærming er kvantitative analyser på epidemiologiske studier, så som Barn i Bergen / ung@hordaland-studien, SHoT, og Ungdata. Eg jobbar også med formidling av forskningsresultater, og er blant anna involvert i eit læringsnettverk om rusarbeid i ungdomsskule og vidaregåande skule.

Frå tidlegare har eg erfaring som kommunepsykolog, pedagogisk-psykologisk rådgivar, og leiar i ei pedagogisk-psykologisk teneste. Eg har også noko erfaring frå arbeid som privat psykolog.

Min visjon for arbeidet i RKBU Vest er å bidra til at færre unge får eit rusproblem og at unge som har utvikla problemer knytt til rus får betre hjelp.
