The Horizon Coordination and Support Action project “Co-operation for the Convention on Biological Diversity” (CO-OP4CBD) seeks to enhance technical and scientific cooperation in the context of the European Union (EU). It supports the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF). The project also supports the EU, its Member States, and associated countries to harness and leverage expertise in Europe.
This is achieved through activities such as:
- Identifying knowledge gaps and needs in the CBD processes.
- Mapping stakeholders and technical experts in the region.
- Creating opportunities for exchange between knowledge holders and negotiators.
- Providing capacity-building for researchers and stakeholders to engage in CBD processes.
- Assisting countries in implementing the monitoring framework for the KM-GBF.
