RaffSim

RaffSim is an offline simulation tool of ladle refining that has been continuously developed from an early start in the mid-90’s to the current version.

Inputs are process parameters and simulated user actions, and results are visualized as a function of time and of vertical position in the ladle.

The tool is used for internal training as well as for troubleshooting, since it allows risk-free assessment of the system’s response to imposed changes.

NORCE contributes with python programming and modelling.
