I hold a PhD in Risk Management and Societal Safety from the University of Stavanger (2023). My doctoral research focused on public procurement of critical societal services. As a PhD candidate, I was affiliated with the research project "Public procurement of critical services - Analysis of effects on societal safety".
I often use a systems-theoretical perspective in my research to examine the interactions between people, technology, organizations, and their environments, rather than viewing each component in isolation. I apply qualitative research methods, such as interviews and document analysis, to explore these relationships.
I hold a Master's degree in Societal Safety from the University of Stavanger (2019) and a Master's degree in History from the University of Bergen (2009). Between these degrees, I worked in the voluntary sector and in public administration.
Ongoing and Recently Completed Projects
I am part of the research centre HyValue, led by NORCE. Within HyValue, my research focuses, among other things, on government policy instruments and incentives aimed at promoting the use of hydrogen and hydrogen-derived fuels in maritime transport.
Together with colleagues at NORCE, I have reviewed research studies and reports relevant to the current Agreement on a More Inclusive Working Life (IA Agreement 2019-2024).
Together with former colleagues at the University of Stavanger, I participated in the research project ROADMAP on so-called “good practices” in crisis management. Among other topics, we examined how common evaluation criteria for crisis management practices could be applied more extensively to facilitate learning from successful practices.
