This project will support leading edge research on advanced technologies for subseasensors and provide a better physical understanding of the sensor principles.In parallel, the commercialization capabilities of the research groups will be studied and enhanced. New knowledge will also be created in relation to how technology transferand interactions with industry in dispersed regions can be improved and strengthened.We propose a consortium with participants from the two main academic institutions and the main technology research institute in the region. The consortium will collaborate with internationally renowned experts and companies related to subseasensors in Northern Norway. This combination of academic and technological know-how will provide the necessary competitive advantage to strengthen existing industry, establish new businesses, and attract oil and gas companies to the region.This project will strengthen established research groups and education programs,provide cross-disciplinary cooperation between business and technology, andincrease regional, national and international cooperation. Financing for 8 PhDs, 3 Post Docs and equipment is included.
