Livskvalitet i familien: Utvikling av levekårsforskningens teoretiske og metodiske verktøy

The project examines the relationship between living standards, social support and quality of life in Norwegian families. The aim is to further develop the Nordic level of living tradition in methods and theory. In most families, work, partner and family roles are intertwined, and the project expects family members through their close relations to influence each other in the formation of well-being and life quality. By studying different family types, the project hopes to contribute on the understanding of children and youth and the environment in which they grow up. Relevant questions are: Do "the good life" depend on family belonging? How is life quality structured and formed within families? And will the so-called "collapse" of traditional family structures influence children's well being?
