I am a PhD student currently working in the BIOCAP project, which aims at developing ancient plankton DNA as a proxy for reconstructing the past functioning of the biological carbon pump spanning the last 130 000 years. With an academic foundation in Biochemistry and Marine Biology, my research has predominantly involved molecular biological analyses of Arctic microbial communities and the impacts of anthropogenic stressors, such as pollution and climate change, on these organisms.
