    15th edition of the European Geothermal PhD Days (EGPD)

    The European Geothermal PhD Days is an annual event organised by PhD candidates from different universities all around the continent. It was started in 2010 as an initiative of the EERA joint programme on geothermal energy, and is now in its 13th instalment. Every year, between 50 and 80 young scientists from various research fields in geothermal energy come together to share knowledge and experience about this promising energy source. No matter what stage you are at, EGPD 2024 is an excellent opportunity to (re)connect with like-minded PhD candidates and Early-Stage Researchers in the Geothermal Energy sector across Europe. Abstract submission/registration is now open! To attend the EGPD2024, please submit an abstract before 31-01-2024. Submission guidelines are given below. The abstract template can be downloaded using the dedicated link. Furthermore, instructions on how to request a visa letter are also provided.

    Sustainable Solutions for Space Cooling

    On April 4th, CoolLIFE will organise an online event aiming to engage and update key stakeholders, gather valuable feedback, and collectively outline the plan for the second half of the project. The event will serve as a platform to showcase the project’s progress, address any challenges, and align our actions with the project’s objectives. During the event, we will feature a panel discussion where representatives from projects such as CoolToRise, our sister project Cooling Down, and the platform “Cooler my city” will engage in an interesting discussion about the multiple facets and solutions for sustainable cooling.     100% RHC EVENT 2024 / The RHC ETIP Annual Conference

    This year, the 100% RHC annual event is taking place on 10 April 2024 in Graz (Austria) within the framework of the ISEC conference. In a 90-minute session, information about RHC-ETIP and insights from the platform’s horizontal working groups will be shared focusing on coupling of heating and power sectors, innovative concepts in districts and cities, solutions for individual buildings and the decarbonization of heat demand in industries, featuring experts in the respective fields. The session will also include an engaging panel discussion “How to fully decarbonize the heating and cooling sector in Europe”, with experts from research, industry, and policy, who will share their insights and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for a sustainable heating and cooling sector in Europe, and highlight approaches for increasing energy efficiency, deployment and integration of more RHC, and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration to decarbonize heating and cooling in the EU.
