Olav Aursjø holds a PhD in condensed matter physics from the University of Oslo and a Cand. Scient. in theoretical physics from the same university. He has been employed at NORCE since 2014. His main research interests relate to the study of complex system physics, such as single and multi-phase fluid flow, reactive transport phenomena, and flow in porous media. This involve data analysis, theory development, computer simulations, and numerical algorithm development. Together with Espen Jettestuen and Jan Ludvig Vinningland, he is one of the main developers of a lattice-Boltzmann-based CFD solver. This solver has been used for reactive transport modelling, and modelling of both Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluid flows.
