I am a senior researcher in the Energy Modelling and Automation group. I hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
My research topics include modelling of the drilling process (mechanics and hydraulics) and development of automated control algorithms, with applications in drilling and reservoir management.
From 2021 I have worked in the Center for Research-Based Innovation DigiWells addressing the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in drilling, optimization of tripping operations, as well as modelling and control of drill string vibrations using a novel distributed damping sub technology.
