I hold a Master of Science in Engineering degree (sivilingeniør) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology NTH (NTNU), and I have been working as a senior researcher at Norce since 2017.
I have been involved in a variety of industry-oriented projects in Norce, including projects related to the seafood industry, other bio-based industries, the petroleum sector, and renewable energy sectors. I have further developed and maintain national business populations for selected industries, populations that enable value creation and employment calculations down to the municipal level. Additionally, I have participated in projects examining the business attractiveness of municipalities and future expectations of the business sector.
I am part of the Regional Network of Norges Bank (The central bank of Norway) , where I regularly conduct interviews with a variety of business leaders in the Western region of Norway as part of this project. The regional network contributes to strengthening the analyses that underpin Norges Bank's monetary policy decisions. The Regional Network publishes four reports annually, which are exempt from public disclosure. I am also involved in the development of a data model that municipalities in Norway can utilize to simulate the future needs of the population, including requirements for assistance, demand for stays in municipal healthcare and care facilities, the need for long-term institutional care, and the expected occurrence of certain age-related health conditions. The model also enables simulation of the expected general housing quantity and housing type requirements on the municipality level, based on factors such as known housing preferences for various age groups, combined with population projections from Statistics Norway (SSB)
I have worked with both quantitative and qualitative approaches at Norce and in previous positions. Prior to joining Norce, I worked as an analysis manager at Helse Stavanger, and before that, as the analysis lead in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing organization at Laerdal Medical.
